Phi
Phi, was an experiment. Its a variant of the Signet ring. It was never meant to work, I sat there at my bench, thinking of ways I could spruce up the Signet to the next level, and it came to me to just draw … lines. The inlay setting is crushed gemstones.
Lines? I thought, but where, and would I ruin it? I got my carving tools and started making lines in the wax. The end concept reminds me of the mathematical symbol - Φ - “Phi”
This must be pulling from my long experience from engineering school, rigorous mathematical equations from memory, now expressing itself into my art.
Just goes to show we pull inspiration from anywhere. Even from places we’ve never considered.
Phi can be made in silver or gold! Send a request to customize this ring with your favorite stone!
*This ring is made to order and takes 2-3 weeks for production. For half sizes, please contact me with details of your purchase in contact form.
